What you will need:
1 cup white kidney beans
1 cup barley
10 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chickpeas
10 chopped dried figs
10 chopped dried apricots
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup white sugar
1/4 cup chopped walnuts, for garnish
How to make it:
Bring four cups of the water to a boil in a big pot and add the barley. Turn the heat down to moderately low and cook the barley for thirty minutes. Add the chickpeas, beans, apricots, figs, sugar, raisins, vanilla, and the rest of the water.
Cook the pudding for about forty five minutes, stirring it a few times. Let it cool down and chill it in the refrigerator. Serve garnished with the chopped nuts.
