How to Dry Peaches, Apricots Or Plums

Dry fruit are delicious and we all know that. Unfortunately, only a few people know that dry fruit are also the healthiest if they are prepared at home. Probably, you all imagine that it is very complicated to dry fruit. Anyone can prepare some dry apricots or some dry peaches, which can be served for dessert or for breakfast with a bowl of muesli and milk.

The main condition you have to fulfill in order to get some healthy dry fruit is to be careful and to use only fruit which are clean and which aren't bruised. If you are thinking of apricots, peaches or plums, you have to use big fruits because they shrink in time. All you need for such a process are the plums, apricots or peaches, which have to be big and gauze.

The first step you have to follow is to wash the fruit very well and to remove all the peaches and so on which are bruised. You cut the peaches and the apricots in half or, when it comes to plums, you leave them as they are and you only take the cores out. Then, you cover the grill of the oven with a piece of cloth that you have already prepared and you put the fruit on it. When it comes to peaches and apricots, these have to be facing the ceiling. You let them dry, keeping the oven door half open, the time of preparation being of about thirty-six up to forty hours. Once your fruit are dry, you move them in a dry and cold place and you leave them there. We guarantee you that they will remain intact for months.
