•    Canned tomatoes are used in so many ways. You can use them for bulking meat or you can use them in pasta dishes, casseroles, soups etc. stocking them would be really handy.
•    Another perfect stand-by for your larder is canned tuna. Canned tuna is idea for pizza toppings, salads, and quick fish cakes.
•    Syrup, molasses and honey can also be preserved for longer period of times and used in several dishes and foods.
•    You can also stock some jam and preserves that can be used for pies and cobblers.
•    Other perfect stand-bys include vinegars and oils. Different types of vinegars and oils can be stocked and later used in variety of foods.
•    To add flavor to soups, sauces and casseroles, stock cubes and vegetable paste are ideal. Stocking them would be handy.
•    Other things that you can think of stocking in your kitchen larder include nuts such as walnut and almonds (ground and whole). These are used in salads and cakes and rich in protein.
